Musings Of A Stationery Designer

Take | A Seat

This weekend I was unpacking a large box of books and found a bunch of my interior design books from college. One of my favorite books was the Complete Guide to Furniture Styles by Boger. The lectures for this class were interesting and I loved sitting in the dark watching all the slides of fabulous furniture.

I remember the clean lines of  the twentieth century chairs… particularly the Adjustable Long Chair designed by Le Corbusier in 1927 and the Barcelona Chair designed by Mies van der Robe in 1929.   Take A Seat notecards are a set of twentieth century chair illustrations in black ink on 80 pound butter creme paper with bright red envelopes. Both of the chairs that I love are on the first card in the series. Each set contains 20 notecards – 5 of each group of chairs.
